CATHY TIGGES

Cathy began her career in 1974 managing several practices, including acting as Clinic Manager for a 40 Physician Multi-specialty Clinic with 200 employees working under her supervision. She has experience in capitated and mixed managed care environments, policy and procedure development, billing procedures, credentialing and contract negotiations. Ms. Tigges has been involved in the development of practices, including single and multiple specialty, urgent care centers and dental facilities. She has served on several educational advisory boards which included Phoenix College, Rio Salado and Good Samaritan Hospital’s physician continuing education board.

Cathy retired from practice administration in 1997 to establish her own company, Tigges & Associates, Inc. Tigges & Associates has assisted several medical practices from practice start-ups to providing billing, credentialing and bookkeeping services.

In 2007, Tigges & Associates made the decision to devote their time to credentialing services only. This allows the company to narrow their focus and become the experts on Physician Credentialing in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.

About Us - LoriLORI DURFEE

Lori began her career in 1989 and has worked practically every position in a medical practice, from patient intake to billing. After her first few years of working all areas in a medical practice, she began her management career and joined Tigges and Associates in 1999. Lori’s original focus with the company was billing, credentialing and practice management. She maintains some original  billing/practice management clients, but plans to transition away from those duties to devote 100 percent of her time to credentialing services exclusively.

About Us - AndreaANDREA GRIFFIN

Andrea began her credentialing career in 2005 after making the switch from medical records to medical staff services. She has continued to explore the credentialing process for hospitals, CVO’s and private practices. After several years, Andrea decided that by credentialing independently she is better able to serve the needs of each individual practice and help organize their credentialing files.  Andrea has recently completed her bachelor’s degree in Public Health through Northern Arizona University.

Shannon Fitzpatrick

Shannon Fitzpatrick is an Administrative Support Professional with over fifteen years of experience working in the health and wellness field. She earned her BA in Psychology from the University of North Carolina in 2000 and began her career as a Therapeutic Staff Support for children with special needs. After seeing the families she worked with struggle with healthcare costs and billing issues, she was motivated to make a career change. She joined a large insurance company as a Support Specialist and specialized in claims arbitration and appeals review. This position gave Shannon the opportunity to network with physicians and she moved into the field of provider credentialing. She became a credentialist for a private healthcare practice in 2004. In 2006, Shannon’s first son was born extremely premature at 27 weeks. Because of this experience she decided to make another transition and become a Senior Coordinator and Administrative Support Professional for a large non-profit hospital system in a Birth Center. In 2017 Shannon earned her Master’s Degree in Public Health from Grand Canyon University and became an independent contractor. Today, Shannon thrives on supporting independent and creative professionals and entrepreneurs in the health and wellness field
